Presentation
Maria Eichhorn presents Ingeborg Hunzinger’s public monument, Block der Frauen (1995), which has been preserved and documented by restorers. It commemorates the women’s protests of 1943 and is being visited daily by many people in Berlin. The project activates the past in the present, contextualizes Hunzinger‘s multifaceted work, and includes the conservation of the sculptural block and its preservation for the future.
