Residency
Recently, Solomon Garçon’s practice has explored digital and underground/invisible infrastructures as spaces for experimentation, often utilising materials such as leather, photography, and low-frequency sounds to both shroud and reveal information. He will spend time looking into fetish, darkrooms and alternative spaces in Berlin and how these experimental forms operate with and without the presence of bodies. This will inform a series of leather/new material “body bag” sculptural works and photographs, which aim to inherit the architectural body of these underground spaces.
