Jan Ságl

Jan Ságl (born 1942 in Humpolec) is one of the pioneers of colour photography in the Czech Republic since 1979. He is best known for his cultural landscapes with tilled fields or the remains of extinct civilizations. As a freelance photographer he is mostly on the move. His freelance work developed in close contact with the visual arts – he was a photographer for art magazines, together with his wife Zorka Ságlová he designed the stage set for concerts of psychedelic bands.
